Where can I go for Online Training in Shamanism?
Please Share any Online Shamanism Training you know of at the Bottom of this Page!
Many of us don’t have shamanic teachers in our area. Sandra Ingerman started ShamanicTeachers.com with a desire to seed high quality teachers in their local areas. Groups like the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and The Four Winds offer class in various areas, but you may still be having trouble finding a teacher near you.
That is why Shaman Links has compiled this list of the online training services and online class directories that we know of. Hopefully having this list in one place will help you. We will add more training options to this page as we find them. If you know of online classes in shamanism, please comment at the bottom of this page and tell us if you had any experience with that training, and how you liked it.
Many shamanic online classes will be offered live at some point, and then be offered as a recording. Live classes can include opportunities to ask question of the teacher, and forums for group work and discussion. There are some online classes where the teacher can see his or her students, and participate in a very similar way to an in person class.
Not every teacher or class is going to feel right for every person, so trust your instincts when you read about the class descriptions. Don’t invest in an expensive program, if they don’t offer a preview class, or some other preview such as free YouTube videos. If no intro or preview class is available, they should be responsive in answering your questions before you sign up for the class or have a good frequently asked questions page. Online teachers with good integrity, will want you to be able to figure out if this is training is the right one for you, and will try to give you some of that information.
Some teachers will offer training via Skype or other services. When you look at a shamanic teacher’s website, you may wish to check their websites for that. We aren’t listing individual teachers here, instead focusing on online teaching services, or lists of online classes. Feel free to share the websites of individual online shamanism teachers in the comments section.
The Shift Network
The Shift Network offers a variety of online classes on Shamanism. They often begin as live classes that you can follow and engage in, and then become archived to take later.
Shift Network Shamanism Classes
Click Shamanism to see those specific classes. They offer a variety of free introductory classes. If you don’t see one listed the first page of shamanism classes, try searching the Shift Network faculty for their class lists. So if you see a Teacher such as Sandra Ingerman, but her class is closed to enrollment, you look at her past classes on her faculty page.
LearnItLive’s The Spirituality Center
LearnItLive has a variety of live online classes, including ones on Shamanism. The classes can be taken live, but the recordings remain available to be taken at any time.

Additional Online Opportunities
The organizations listed above, offer multiple teachers, the opportunity for live classes, and have a large variety of Shamanic Training available. While the following may not offer the same variety those above, they offer shamanism training of some kind and could be a good resource.
Sounds True
Originally, the company was focused on creating spirituality focused audio programs from a large variety of spiritual thinkers and teachers. Now, in addition to publishing books, and a free weekly podcast, Sounds True has been offering a variety of online summits and courses that are available after the event. These include shamanism topics:
Sounds True Year of Ceremony 2017
The Four Winds Online
Four Winds is a well known teaching organization. There online training appears to be more of a program than individual classes, but may be an option if you are looking for a program.

Daniel Foor has online training that includes learning how to work with Ancestors, and heal ancestral lines: https://ancestralmedicine.org/trainings/
I was surprised to see Shamanism 101 wasn’t on this list. It’s hands down the best training I’ve found. It’s structured so you gradually learn techniques in a safe way and you begin by working on yourself first. You are paired with a mentor who has gone through the program and is trained in shamanic mentoring, so you are never alone and you have plenty of one on one personal guidance. I would highly recommend it.

Thank you for sharing! Your information about the program will be helpful to our visitors.
Hi, Nicole! The above link took me to an “Unable to Connect to Server” error page. I tried removing the “s” from “https,” and I connected to a page (http://www.shamanism-101.com/), but I’m not sure if it’s the same page as your original link. Are the courses you referred to by Steve Serr?
Thanks for the update. The link worked when I approved the comment. I appreciate your taking the time to give a correction, I have updated the link in the original comment.
Thanks, Lauren! Could you please check on the link for https://www.a-course-in-shamanism.com/ too? I was interested in looking at what was offered there too, but got “Server Not Found.”
The site may be down temporarily, sometimes the settings go wrong and it stops working for a time. I looked at the cache for the site, and the home page linked to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1Hp-VUW3Ic it may be possible to contact the website owner through YouTube. If I don’t see that it starts working soon, I will remove the link.
This is the problem with having websites from shamanic healers’ links, not the most tech savvy people. They change things and things break. I have corrected a few more broken links on this page as well.
