No method has been used to verify the scholarly authenticity of the work, but most included in this list are widely read. This list is intended to give a quick overview of authors of shamanic books.
Shamanism*, by Mircea Eliad - a very detailed scholarly book on shamanism, which takes the perspective of anthropology/sociology/history.
